    By definition, “The circumcenter of a triangle is the intersection of the perpendicular bisectors of its sides”. So, with a given triangle this point must be inside the triangle, not on its side.
    What is marked as a correct answer is, in fact, the center of the circumcircle, which is totally not the same as the curcumcenter…

      A circumcenter can be inside, outside, or even on a side of the triangle, because it is equivalent to the center of the circumcircle. An incenter must be inside the triangle, since the incircle by definition is inside the triangle, but there’s no restrictions like that on the circumcenter. If you actually find the perpendicular bisectors of the triangle in question, you’ll find that they do indeed intersect on the side of the triangle.
